Zanzibar Sunrise at Bandas

I loved the vibe of this place! Very stylish and cosy and private hotel to stay, especially when travelling in couple. Highly recommended!

We stayed during 3 nights in the hotel and it was a great. We had an amazing bungalow with a view on the ocean. The food was incredible, everything on the menu was amazing. There are two nice swimming pools and one of the most beautiful beach of Zanzibar. Eva, Anna and their staff were very nice and always there to answer to our needs. Big up to Musa! Love KK&YoYo

Well, well, well, where do I start with this one. A week booked in the bandas and what a week it was! Myself, my partner and our two friends had h best stay there which were lead by two of the best front of house staff you can imagine, eva and sylvia! They took care of us, showed us the delights, and just made our trip a ten out of ten! Thank you guys! I must mention too, the main man hozer (taxi driver) what a bond we built with him! He knew his way around the hustle and bustle of stone town, but also got us to difficult restaurants on the island in speedy success! I love you hozer!

We had an amazing stay here, the hotel is beautiful and what is even better is all of the wonderful staff that work here. You couldn’t ask for more helpful, fantastic staff who are caring and help you with anything. We would highly recommend this property- you will not regret booking here!

My room/banda was right on the beach – so I was able to open the door each morning and watch the sun rise across the ocean!
The staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble.

Disliked · Due to the nature of the construction of the bandas, there a small number of ants but these were dealt with using a little bug spray.

Everything was just perfect. The location, the bungalow, the private pool, the amazing view from the bed. The food was also great, very good and fresh breakfast. The menu was also very vast and great price value for the quality and the amount of the meals compared to other hotels I’ve stayed in in Zanzibar. Would definitely come again.

Free drinks on arrival ; great host ; free kayak ; free town tour ; free bicycle ; free trip to coral reef and sand bank with guide ; breakfast is served on the restaurant or in the room all day long ; very big room and very clean and very private ; patio at every room with your own sunbeds and hammock ; some rooms have also their own pool; very close to the beach ; live music every tuesday and friday ; we check out at 8 pm so they move us to a room free of charge to spend the day ( how many hotels does that ? ) GO and you will not regret it !!!

Absolutely everything! A big thank you to all the staff in the restaurant for making all 4 days exceptional! We had to go to another hotel after we checked out due to travel plans and had to go back a couple more nights to the restaurant for the staff and amazing food in this place. Bungalows are fabulous and they are by far best place in Matenwe and Zanzibar. Keep up the good work!

Everything is absolutely relaxing and connected with the surrounding environment. Staff is great. Waking up with the sound of waves in the bungalows right in front of the beach is priceless.
