Your Zanzibar Place

It is exactly what you expect it to be. Sand beach as a floor in the cottage, two shelves for your clothes, one bed with the net, great vibe, digital nomads, great food and drinks. Go for it if you’d choose people and vibe over the comfort and termites free sleep.

I don’t know why but everyone that staying there or just visit the restaurant is hot🤷🏼‍♀️ they have good wifi and the bartender’s is very nice. Really cool place. Expansive for backpackers.

New management, new name YOUR ZANZIBAR PLACE.
The 3 of us stayed in a 7 bed shared Bungalow which had bigger beds then a usual hostel I’ve stayed. For friends traveling together, couples or solo travelers there are private bungalows at as well good prices. Prices where cheaper than usual as there wasba discount, so it was a perfect deal with breakfast, but also normal prices are worth the place. Nice chilling areas, great helpful Manager Joseph and his staff! Good kitchen to eat for lunch or dinner, reasonable prices. Bar to hang out. Cool showers with Palm and Sky view. towels can be rent for just a deposit. Just a short walk to the beach and other nice restaurant. Everything I need was there. Also always like when each bed has his own side lamp. Would have loved to spend more time!

Everyone here was super friendly and accommodating, rooms and toilet are a little basic, but everything you need is there. Tasty food from restaurant area, and was pretty chill place to hangout. Wifi was a Little temperamental, this is island life 😀 the shared key situation was a little inconvenient. Hakuna Matata.

Awesome place to stay in Paje. We had a bungalow that sleeps three with ensuite bathroom – it was nice and clean. Josip is a really great manager, went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. The rest of the staff are nice too. Foods and drinks are tasty and reasonably priced. Good vibes all day. Great access to the beach, actually to one of the nicest part of the beach. I would stay here again.

Great Breakfast and also very good restaurant, good WIFI, clean rooms, good price and just 50 meters away from the beach. Josip, the owner, even helped us organizing a kilimanjaro and safari Trip

Very active. Young and energetic folks. Good fun but expect little sleep. Great daytime activities.

It’s beautifully with natural buildings and local furniture on the beach of paje, also they do kite surf service.

Great hostel! Very good vibes and great management – Josep was super helpful and really nice. Perfect location as it is steps from the beach and all the kite surfing spots as well as near to the best evening parties. Great evening ambience and great for single travelers as it is quite a social place.

Need a place to wind down, make some friends and enjoy the beach? Look no further, Gail and her team make sure that you will have a great time here. Good and cheap food and drinks at the bar and they can also help you with your transfer back and from the airport. Will definitely come back

hostel is beautiful and on a nice beach with great swimming. but the staff were unfriendly and overworked. likely 16 hour shifts. the music the hostel played was terrible including alanis morisette and country. the food took 1 hour to order but it was busy season. it is a great place to stay if you are a 40 year old woman looking to pick up dudes. there is infinite local men looking for sugar mamas.

It’s a fun and cozy place with lots of hammocks and areas to relax. You can also get active and use the volleyball cord or practice some balancing on the slack line.
The beach is right there with a beautiful ocean and white sand. If you want to do kitesurfing, this is a really good beach for that and you have many companies offering Kites and Lessons.
The hostel offers nice and affordable food. Breakfast is good and you have the choice between a sweet or a salty meal.
The staff is super friendly and helpful and they will answer you any questions and will make sure your stay is wonderful

What a wonderful place! We felt very welcome, safe and had great communications with other travelers and the staff. The offered food is amazing, so tasty and authentic…just yummi. We also really enjoyed the open air showers. The whole place is kept very clean. We warmly recommend New Teddy’s Place, especially to all those backpackers out there.
Btw: We visited New Teddy’s Place during our backpacking honeymoon trip. The staff poshed up our bungalow with beautiful decorations which was a great surprise.

Very good stay in Zanzibar. Rooms very clean – cleaned every day. Very good food – one of best in Paje. A little bit noisy neighborhood, but you cant have all 😉 If we will back to Zanzibar we definitely will visit NTP

I’m not a hostel style traveler, but if I were I’d stay New Teddys. The place is clean (bathrooms included!). Staff is friendly. Beds are comfortable. Just an overall comfortable, charming place whether you want to be alone or with other travelers.

Very organized and nice hostel with perfect beach access and good vibe. Only be careful when paying in euro – while they charge a fair conversion rate for dollar (2200) the one for Euro which they charged was quite bad (2240 instead of 2270/2275).

When we checked in we were told the safe was open till 3. When I went to grab my things before catching my flight at 1:40 I was informed the manager was offsite and she would need to come back to open the safe. I informed the staff that I …

Really really nice place! Although a but pricey, but so is all of Zanizbar. The German manager is so nice and helpful although the staff is a bit of a mess.. keep track of your spendings if you have a tab since they are known to make mistakes. And try to pay when the manager is there, just so that problems can be avoided!

I liked only the location and territory. The common barn where we slept 7-8 people was stuffy, the fans did not work well. I woke up with a headache. The mosquito nets were torn, so they could not save them from mosquitoes, she was all skillful.
The music in the bar played until late and noisy.
And this terrible sand on the floor, or rather, where the floor should be, there is sand, so it was everywhere, in bed, in shorts in my head …
And they don’t like Russians.
