We love to be there. Really gem of Zanzibar. Very helpfull staff. Very privat Villas. Big area with very nice greenery and your very privat monkeys.

Disliked · Time to time later on breakfast was not really 5* hotel. A little bit weak WiFi in Villa.

The hotel was perfect!!! The villa was perfect! Extremely large and very clean! The cleaning women came and cleaned and changed the towels in the morning and in the evening! The complex is huge and very beautiful! Full of greenery and animals, especially the monkeys that are wonderful! The pool is gorgeous! And the sunsets seen from the pool and from the (private) beach are fascinating, the pool wall from the beach is made of glass! Each villa had bicycles to get around the complex! Very friendly staff, always ready to help you. Breakfast can be served in the villa only for a delivery fee of $ 10.

Disliked · A disadvantage is the location: compared to the northern part of the island, here in the morning the reflux of the ocean is present and the color is not the same. And without a car you can not get out of the hotel, it is far from anything. And without a car you can’t leave the hotel, it’s far from anything.
But nevertheless, I recommend !! Perfect!!!!

Price/quality. The Residence is very luxurious. Our breakfast and diner was included in the price. Amazing value for money. The food is excellent and the staff are super helpful and friendly.

Disliked · Improve the road from the main road to the hotel. Too bumpy. But I understand they are working on it to get that done soon.

The location is amazing, the food is good and the staff very friendly. I also loved the pools at each villa.

Disliked · Given the current covid era…I suggest they make their meals a la carte to ensure safety of their guests.

our private pool was open and can be seen from outside so we asked to make it private and they built a fence around the pool for us

the idea of having our villa in the middle of a small forest, and walking up in the morning on the voice of monkeys running around our villa

there was a lot of insects and flyers, but this is due to the style of having your villa inside a forest
the restaurant was not very clean
there was not varieties in the menu
the road to the hotel is very very bad

All my experience was just perfect! I felt very welcomed and it couldn’t be any better. Staff always tried to help me with everything. The place is not crowded, very quiet, with monkeys running around. I hope to come here again one day

· Me and my familiy spent 7 wonderful days at this hotel. We would like to thank all the employees for their work. Everiything was superlative. The restaurant has an excellent positieon, very close to the sea and fixed next to the pool, the diversified and very tasty food, the very attentive staff and the helpful ones. We thank Zuchu Sukari for the way he took care of us. I was deeply impressed that every night they passed by to prepare the room before bed. The water of the private pool was very clean, the rooms very spacious and in this way we thank the people who took care of the cleaning in villa 219. The hotel pool was large and gradually entered, and the monkeys present always made a show. My girl was the most excited. We were able to go on a few trips there.

The Residence is a great resort, we appreciated the private huge villa with a private pool. All was great. The gardens are beautiful and we really appreciated the monkeys there, which come to visit you almost every day. Be careful about leaving your stuff at the terrace ase. 🙂 This was lovely thou!

Disliked · I only give 4 stars instead of 5 because of the food. The food quality was really not good and does not meet expectations in a 5* hotel. I would recommend providing a la carte offer instead of the buffet. I would also recommend changing the headchef. The buffet food (even thou it has different names every night – Mediterranean, Indian, African etc) is every night the same.
