Shongwe Lookout

The atmosphere was lovely and the setting next to the pool was relaxing. The food was good value for money and very tasty! We had burgers. The buns and patties were all made fresh in the kitchen and the food came out nice and hot. The drinks were beautifully presented.
The staff were friendly and accommodating.
The kitchen was a bit noisy and it was hot, despite us being outside. A fan or two could have been helpful.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience and would definitely go again!

One of the most gorgeous hotels I’ve stayed at in the last 15 years. The last time I stayed in such an aesthetically perfect place was in 2007 at a boutique hotel in Barcelona. Everything, from the décor to the lookout bar trolley to the exquisite art gallery to the finishing touches in the bathroom to THE most comfortable bed in the world (truly!), was exquisite. A-Mazing aMaziNG amazing!!! I only wish I could have stayed longer.

Truly boutique hotel in VF with beautiful design. Service is superb. The food is delicious, however ingredients are limited due to availability in the region. The staff was accommodating to all our requests.
The have a great observation tower that is open 24h and it is the perfect place for stargazing. Internet is medium speed and reliable.
I recommend arranging airport transfer directly with them.

4.5 stars a few scarce food items were expensive. But the staff have your back all the way very nice people, would recommend to anyone. Rooms clean, lovely amenities pool was epic bar even better 😏

I am writing this review while reclining by the pool with a cocktail in hand. I am surrounded by tile mosaics, artworks and a well-kept rainforest garden. A few metres away is our room, which is spotlessly clean and air conditioned.
The helpfulness of the bar and restaurant staff at Shongwe is exceeded only by the excellent food and drinks themselves!
