Ryan’s Bay Hotel

Nice hotel in Mwanza, and the staff was amazing! I had to arrange a last minute airport pickup, which was done easily through the hotel manager (or a senior staff?), then a delayed flight got me to Mwanza very late (past 1am), and the driver was still there waiting for me. The manager also thought of asking me if I wanted food as I was arriving late and might be hungry, so I really appreciated the thoughtfulness. I only stayed one night but it was a great experience!

Super helpful staff, who upgraded my accommodation because I needed more light to work at night. Having traditional food as part of the breakfast buffet was really appreciated, it was great to have a taste of local food, the cassava, chapatti and chicken broth were yummy!

Disliked · lighting in the standard rooms was a bit too dim for a working traveler.
