Mocco Beach Villa

Location is good, breakfast is ok (typicall Zanzibar breakfast). Restaurant staff was helpful.

Disliked · Restaurant menu was poor. Hotel staff was not very motivated. Bed sheets could have looked more clean.

· The staff hospitality was so overwhelming from the reception desk to the bartender and waitresses. They really did all they could to make our stay enjoyable.

Disliked · The hotel parking lot can accommodate only two cars so I had issues finding a suitable parking spot outside.

This stay was really interesting. When I booked it online we got the best room I would say. It was in the highest floor so its was 3 floors. We had beautiful sea view and balcony. The bathroom is litteraly in the room. It was really nice room. We wanted to extend one more night, so I was told that I should book it trough booking its ok but our room was not available anymore. We booked it on booking for 10 USD more ( I think thats like last minute booking price) and we got room downstairs which is not in the new building. I guess that was their first rooms. It was quite outdated.
They have A/C though. For breakfest if you choose eggs they bring you eggs, beans, sausage and pancakes. The best is the beach. You have really nice hotel sunbeds and security guy always there. The sea doesnt experience so much the high and low tide. So there is always water to swim in. However once you leave the space of the hotel sunbeds and you go to the water, there is always someone stopping you to buy trip, massage etc.

Disliked · Wifi working only in reastaurant and if there is too many devices connected, it doesnt work anyway.

The manger (S ) was very friendly, cheerful and informative.
He is the reason we felt comfortable. Some of the other staff were friendly too
AC fully functioning . Short walking distance to the beach . Love the fruit they served 😀 breakfast was ok 👍🏾

Disliked · The chef in the kitchen seems to lack experience and you always end up getting something similar but not quite what you ordered.
The rooms are very basic . You get what you pay for

Was very spontaneusly, to stay for seven nights at Mocco Beach Villa in Kendwa , everything ver quickly and absolutely perfect.

Good location, very near to the beach. Sun beds and beach towels available.
Nice restaurant at the beach.
Room was spacious, but could be added more furniture.
Staff is nice and friendly.

Disliked · Breakfast standard, but can be improved adding more varieties.

The Hotel is very less situated and right on the beach. The location cant be better. The facilities are average. The prices all across Tanzania of taxy is very high. 30 Dollars is what they ask mostly for both sides while this hotel asks for 50 Dollar. compared with the distance, its a LOOOOT happening in Zanzibar. Zanzibar is 90% Islamised and not very safe for tourists. I was knife point by a local cab driver. It was a life death situation. Zanzibar is mostly a loot Island, wherein they ask for exorbitant prices for everything. Medicines imported from India at a rate of 5Dollar(anti-Malaria) is being sold to TOurists at 30 Dollars.

Disliked · Its not a safe place. The local population is mostly rogue and is always in an intention to loot. There are some restaurants run by Indians which are cosier place to hang out.

The staff was helpful. The bed decoration was really nice when we arrived. The beach was close. The sunbeds were comfortable.

Disliked · There wasn’t any wifi in the room, despite it was advertised. This was a huge disappointment for us, because we wanted to work a bit. If we would knew that we wouldn’t book this accommodation. The shower door wasn’t working.

The manageress was friendly and welcomed us warmly. My parents room was comfortable, spacious, but ours had problem with the AC so we didn’t sleep well for those 2 nights… The restaurant is lovely and the staff super nice!

Disliked · What I really didn’t appreciate is the difference of payment at the end, didn’t quite match the price I was quote on Booking.com which included all taxes and rate. I find it very upsetting to be charged more and that leaves me a bitter taste of the place!
