We only ate food here.
The food was delicious and very well portioned. The property was beautiful and well maintained. We ate outside and enjoyed every minute.

We only eat in this place. The food was really good and I appreciate that you can eat something different than typical tanzanian plate (rice, beans and spinach). It is really worth to eat Indian food here

How I miss this place, if you need peace & quiet as you eat, this is it! I loved the food too! And yes, you can order ahead, without issues.

It’s a reminiscent of a bustling past, unfortunately the rooms and lounges a need to keep up with the present. Very beautiful gardens and decent sized rooms but alot of upgrading needs to happen. Staff are friendly and very accommodating. Food is passable.

The management of the hotel is so poor that it cannot solve any problems. Super laissez-faire approach.
The rooms were very dirty when walked in, filled with insects such as ants, spiders, flies, centipede. Also couple of spots of urine on the floor not cleaned properly.
There are constant power cuts and water shortages in this hotel. You can find the water is not coming the entire day of your stay. Very inconvenient.
The staffs are very hardworking, however the owner doesn’t seem to care enough to solve any problems.
Will never step foot in this hotel! The price is too high and service is zero!

Nice garden and good restaurants but rooms are much below hotel standard. No shampoos no towels and bed is not clean nor comfortable

I wasn’t a huge fan of this place. The Indian restaurant was quite good, but the room itself was pretty terrible. It stunk of cigarette smoke so badly that it was hard to breathe the entire night. The bathroom itself was also pretty gross looking (moldy curtains, rusty floor around shower).
I don’t know if this is the best hotel in Mbeya since areas in Africa vary so much so this could very well be the best, but I wouldn’t recommend it.
The service was always good and the owners were very nice, but it’s hard to overcome how uncomfortable the room was.

Mbeya Hotel is one of the first hotels in town. Old style and many memories. Good budget hotel. clean and staff is friendly. Must be the best Indian good in Tanzania. Make sure you stop at least for lunch. Have been here a few times and everytime it is good. Well recommended.

I love their food. Haven’t stayed there but I enjoy their restaurant every now and then. Haven’t been disappointed so far.
