Clean and nice hotel, with awesome restaurant and polite staff.
We had only 3 issues:
1. It took me long time to negotiate changing hotel number since the one we got initially was by a public pool, where people gather, listen to music, smoke and have good time during day and night. The room was replaced for free as another worker said when he came to help us move, but the manager wanted extra 100$ per day during negotiation and was ignoring us next day.
2. The new room had issues with electricity when that happened pumps didn’t work either, so we had quite a few hours without light and water.
3. If you take shower for a few minutes water cannot go down, it instead comes right back up. It looks like a clogged shower drain. Be wary or get flooded bathroom or even the whole apartment if you are too slow to react.
*. The hotel has wi-fi on the whole territory that’s awesome!
Internet on Zanzibar it seems is limited to ~2Mbs (Zantel simcard or hotel/restaurant) and disconnects quite often. Good enough for checking email and social networks but will result in rank loss if you play TFT 🙂 (common problem for Zanzibar).

We had an amazing stay at Kikoi. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to their honeymoon suite and the room is outstanding with its own balcony, pool (seaview!) and even a small stretch to the beach. The other rooms with private pools are a bit less private but nonetheless very pretty.
There are two public pools, a volleyball field and a sundeck with seaview lounge chairs. The common areas are the only thing that could be improved with a little more love (e.g. the wooden sundeck seemed a bit „rusty“).
The on site restaurant is directly overviewing the ocean and serves excellent indian food that made us return several times. Don’t be initimidated by the large menu – every dish was fantastic and fairly priced. The breakfast is a tad basic and lacks variation but still tasty. The restaurant staff is very welcoming and remembers your name.
We booked a mangrove SUP tour with the on site boat operator and the local guys were great and offered a very competitive price compared to offers closeby. Highly recommend doing the mangrove tour for sunset. From the hotel you can also take beach walks dependent on the tides to long stretches of white sand.
This is a quiet part of the island, perfect if you are looking for some relaxing days.

We really enjoyed our stay. Nice rooms facing the sea, private swimming pools, nice beach to walk along, transparent waters. Possibility of walking or kayaking in the mangrove. Very nice restaurant over water with good value for money sea and indian food. Staff helpful and friendly.

Three of us from the USA stayed at this hotel last week and it was a piece of heaven on earth. Martin the manager, the staff and Wing It staff were absolutely amazing. The room was large, air con, clean and so relaxing. It was way better …

I really enjoyed my stay.
– The spot is beautiful with amazing sunset views over the bay. Water is crystal clear and in full moon high tides the sea turns into a huge pool. Really pleasant!
– They offered us a kayak trip for free during …

Great staff, they kept the room clean and tidy, always asking if we need anything. White, sandy beach great for walks. The restaurant overlooking the ocean, great sea food, I personally enjoyed their seafood platter.I would like to be back to stay longer, a week wasn’t enoughðŸ¤

We dropped by the bar/restaurant of this hotel and had a bad experience. We asked if we could pay with a credit card as we don’t have cash (the atm has been out of order for a week), we were told yes and the man at the bar said we had to …

Amazing hotel, perfect restaurant with good food (the Indian dish was the best we tasted in weeks while in africa) Best staff ever! I highly recommend this to everyone. They made our stay perfect and sadly we could only stay two nights. It was so relaxing and quiet and we really enjoyed it!

Did you want silence and solitude? Forget it! Rooms (not villas) are located on a tiny heel around the pool and volleyball court. Why do you need panoramic windows if all the tourists hang out right behind them, the curtains simply cannot be opened so as not to feel like a fish in an aquarium. The room itself is clean and nice, but the location is just a nightmare. There was not a single photo to illustrate this. Because of this, I did not consider some of the hotels

Surprisingly excellent hotel for Zanzibar. The room is spacious, high ceilings, air conditioning, handling and cleaning of rooms every day, theft is out of the question, the staff is polite, the area at the hotel is cozy, clean, the restaurant ate only modest breakfasts, but you can eat. that everything is done sooooo slowly EVERYWHERE on the island))) The first line of the ocean, BUT because of the active ebb and flow, you cannot swim there. There is a way out: go to the right of the hotel along the coast and after 5 minutes you will go to the Rastaman beach with an excellent cafe, where you can catch akunumatatu))).
If you go along the bank to the left of the hotel, you will come to a gorgeous spit, which opens at low tide – a great place for bounty photos !!!
In general, it is convenient to travel by car (for rent) – then you will have access to the gorgeous beaches of Zanzibar, a forest with monkeys, a mangrove jungle, the nearest villages with their own unique atmosphere and life.
The inhabitants of the island are lovely people.

Very nice boutique hotel in a quiet location – perfect for relaxing.
The villas are very large, with a terrace and their own small pool. AC, mosquito nets and fan are available. The staff is very friendly. The food is delicious and there is often fresh fish and seafood recommended by the chef.

We stayed at Kikoi Beach Hotel for 3 weeks over Christmas and New Years and had a really great time.
The staff is awesome. Always friendly, nice and helpful, with a very personal touch. We always felt at home, it was really hard to say goodbye. Thanks for that!
The hotel is located directly on the sea, but as usual in Zanzibar, it has a more or less sandy beach, depending on the tides. However, there are plenty of sun loungers with parasols on the hotel beach, on the “sun deck” and at the pool. There is WiFi in the entire hotel area, but it only works really well and reliably in a few places. There were some power cuts, but they only lasted a few seconds and were therefore not really a problem.
The rooms have a small safe, are spacious, quiet and very clean, the beds are comfortable, the fans are quiet and reliable. The only thing we missed a bit was a fridge in which we could have kept drinks or other small things cool.
In the first days we were only a few guests, so breakfast was served “Ã la carte”, later there was a breakfast buffet, which was also very rich, varied and delicious. The food in the restaurant was also very good. We went out to eat a couple of times and there were a few events at the hotel due to the holidays that had special dishes, but we ate in the restaurant quite often and were always more than satisfied with the choice and taste ,
