This hotel is the perfect place for working! I had Zoom meetings for the whole day several days in a row and the WiFi works perfectly, as good as in Switzerland. I could use the conference room all the time and the staff was very helpful for everything I needed. Rooms are large and comfortable, there is a nice garden with a swimming pool, the place is very quiet and in a safe neighborhood. I recommend it for all people who want to do smart working in Tanzania. Very cheap for a 4 stars hotel. Breakfast is very varied

Disliked · The neighborhood is very quiet and safe, it is the residential area of Dar Es Salaam, but it is a bit far from the city center. However, the hotel organized my transportation downtown and backwards. The beach is really not the best, but you don’t actually go to Dar Es Salaam for beaches…

Diligent service from staff, especially Gladis which more than compensated for the few difficulties experienced!
Having a fridge in the room was more than welcomed. Mosquito nets too. Internet was available everywhere, even in the courtyard where I had wonderful breakfasts. Really, including local food if one wanted to have that experience. Real coffee too.
There were 3 swimming pools but really only one usable since the other two by the beachside was also packed at least on the weekend where the bar and pool are transformed into a beach club with DJ’s , dancing, animations and cool local reggae music until 11pm. Either love it or hate it. I loved it.
The beach is 2 minutes away for a cool morning jog or a quick swim.
Lastly, my flight was at 23h30, as I didn’t want to pay an extra night, I asked if I could leave my baggage there while I went to Mbudya island some 20mins boat ride away to spend the day. To my surprise I was offered the possibility of showing and changing my clothes in a room without extra cost before my journey to the airport. This is customer service at its best!!

Disliked · The TV took 10 mins each time to start. Outrageous, please change. The kettle plug had to be changed because the plug didn’t fit the socket!!
I found the drinks a tad too expensive. No real table surface in room.

We stayed as a family with 3 kids and grandparents. And we loved there was a private pool for the people staying at the hotel. Staff was so friendly and helpful, and went way out of their way to make special food for us and the kids.

Disliked · The beach was filled with trash that had washed up from the ocean. We know that’s not the hotel fault, but it was a lot so one couldn’t really use or swim at the beach.
