Liked · They are a good spot for an overnight- it’s safe and the rooms are enormous.

It is located on the mountain, so there is a very nice view over the lake. The pool is big and very nice, enough place to relax next to it. The room is a bit simple, but big, clean and contains all you need. The staff is wonderful, very helpful and kind. Breakfast buffet is great, with a lot of choices and nice food. During the night it is super quiet, so this is a nice place to rest and escape from the busy city. However the city center and rock city mall are close (10 min Car drive or 30 min walk, which is perfectly safe).

Disliked · It is kind of pricy, especially compared to other places in Tanzania (like Arusha). If you order food from the restaurant, they ask a fee for roomservice (5000 Tsh), which is a lot of money for just bringing the food.

Nice hotel, friendly competent staff at reception. Stunning views, good inhouse indian restaurant, large spacious rooms

Disliked · Downsides: I missed bednets in rooms, I prefer that over spraying. The manager made inappropriate comments – big downside for women.

Played music loudly and I couldn’t sleep

The staff were extremely kind & helpful. The rooms were very clean & spacious & our kids enjoyed the pool very much! We had a wonderful experience!

Tried to charge me again after prepayment with booking.com

The food was great

Disliked · No hot water ( cold shower..brrrrr), dirty towels, air conditioning unit not working at times and WIFI signal was mostly weak/poor

Overall very poor value for money, had to pay $240 for 2 rooms for 1 short night which was spent changing rooms, etc.
*First room not at all like picture on booking.com, not even in same building, bathroom extremely dirty and old, bedding had hairs, bodily stains and blood on. Shower floor was broken, with plastic looking like it might collapse. Towels dirty. Curtains stained hanging off rail and not wide enough to close. Very noisy from outside. Asked to be moved.
* Second room, similar to picture on booking.com, again, extremely dirty bedding in both rooms that we booked. Again bedding hadn’t been changed from previous guest, it was dirty, with bodily stains and what looked like blood. Staff tried to get clean bedding, however they just got bedding from other rooms off other beds. I had to insist on clean bedding from the laundry. This was at 11.30pm. We wanted to have a shower/wash but had no towels, the towels that were brought to our room again were dirty, stained and had what appeared to be fresh blood on. The staff looked surprised that we were complaining and tried to say it was rust. We turned the water on and it was brown, so had to let it run. Water smelt damp/musky. Door onto the balcony couldn’t be locked and the staff just said they didn’t have the key, as if it wasn’t a problem. At midnight, after 3 hours of changing rooms and trying to get clean bedding and towels we finally were able to sleep, though the room was noisy with other guests trying to get into their rooms.
*Breakfast, was awful, no cutlery, no plates, no cups, no staff to clear tables or replenish food.
*We transfered to another hotel.
*I can not understand how this hotel has such a high rating on booking.com.
