Golden Tulip Dar Es Salaam City Center Hotel

The members of staff were cheerful, the rooms were spacious enough and had value for money. Let alone the Fire restaurant was very responsive and their cooking was yummy.

Disliked · The hotel didn’t have a bar, and it was non acoholic. The bad side of it was, this was only communicated to us upon arrival. There was nothing of that sort mentioned during our booking conversation.

Apt for our requirement as it was near the port & we were staying for only a night.

This hotel is right in the city center. It’s just a few minutes walk from the ferry station to Zanzibar. The staffs were super amazing. They were very warm and welcoming. The fish from the restaurant was very delicious.

· The hotel can boast great panoramic view and huge window. Beds are nice. Central location.
In previous reviews you can read there are no restaurants in the area. Don’t expect it from any other hotels. As there is scarcity of restaurants in the city at all. You can easily walk to them from Golden Tulip (it’s safe to walk in that area in the evening). I can recommend Chef’s and Summy’s.

Disliked · Air conditioning seems a bit noisy in all hotels in this country 😁 if you are sensitive, ear plugs can help. You will also find them useful when the sun heats metal of the building in the morning and makes cracking sounds.
Internet was stable at the reception. In the room I had some problems. Maybe it was safety settings of my device…

There restaurant in 21 floor was nice and delicious food and outstanding waiters

I had a serious stomach issue after having eaten room service food.
The staff was very helpful to me the following days where I was completely ill. The gave me toasted bread and coke cola as we all know is helpful agains diarrea.
Be careful when eating there…

Easy access and the staff were really helpful, the view of the city and sea was also lovely but everything else was average for the price.
