David is a very nice host (he lives on the premise) and William does a great job at accomodating the guests and running the bar during the day. This is the place to be. It’s next to B4, a beach club and there are sometimes parties in the evening so if you’re looking for a totally quiet retreat, this might not be ideal. If you wanna have fun and a re a decent person, come there! David also organizes dinner/bbq every now and then and it’s great fun. Very social atmosphere with travellers from all age groups.

Brilliant place, very hipster, with beers and gatherings round the fire every night. It’s the place to be, if you’re an expat in Paje.
I loved the meals they organise for the guests a few evenings per night where a local chef comes cooking for us on very affordable prices.

Wonderful place for backpackers to meet fellow lively people. Be vigilant about who abuse alcohol or drugs and cause trouble. Talk to David who is the owner and very friendly person who will readily jump on to solve the issues. Place is right next to beach and beside vegan/vegetation cafe.

This is THE backpacker place in Paje. It is excellent for what you want. Do not expect 5-star, but expect a great laid back place on the beach. Tamal, the owner, is a great character. The batsmen are excellent. This is the place where, when you come down in the morning, everyone greets you by name and are happy to see you! Lots of chats. Beers free flowing. Great to skip between the ocean and the pool on site. Just excellent backpackers!

Talal is the owner of this hostel and he’s absolutely amazing. Probably the only owner who you get to know personally and if you’re lucky, grab drinks and go to dinner with. The vibe here is chill, and the guests here are pretty much the same. It’s right on the beach so you can hear the ocean waves and walk right in when you want to. The dorm rooms are well kept however there isn’t a proper shower, it’s kind of built in to the washroom but you don’t come here for those amenities. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely want to come back. Ultimate backpacker destination. 👌

Clean hostel and a very nice host. Just be adviced that there is not much staff around to help you out. You can find more organized places with a better vibe around on the beach. A plus is the very good beach access and usage policy of the hotel pool next to the hostel. No breakfast offered or included (but there are options along the beach)

Right on the beach. Great vibe. Swimming pool. Yes I was also confused but you need a swimming pool on the beach because the tide is out for a few hours per day and you can’t swim. So get in the pool! With beer of course. I had a great time. Thanks Dave and I will be coming back.

We had a great time. We loved the lodgings, staff and the food. Am totally planning to stay again.

Comfortable clean hostel, nice bar area, good links with locals, world class location, best shower water pressure I had on Zanzibar! David the manager, is a great empathic, human, always willing to help and lend a hand, introduce you to diving schools, kiting schools, book taxis, have a good conversation over a beer or 3.

Highly not recommended. I’ve been travelling for a few years and that’s the worst hostel i’ve ever been. Rooms are actually not too bad, but if you don’t care just about yourself I wouldn’t stay there. Staff are treaten really poorly and the foreign owners just care about money, what doesn’t even stays in the local community and is basically nothing other than the opposite of sustainable development. Extremely overpriced and really bad vibes

Good place to cut costs, they are shared rooms, they are comfortable, there are private rooms for him. Need. There is no breakfast but nearby there is what you need

Very clean. Great atmosphere and great guests. But: no lockers, could be improved! Always carry all valuables with rum annoying. No breakfast possible, but feasible in surroundings.
