Clove Island Villas &Apartments

Very high standard, hotel is looking very original, well designed and comfortable rooms. Maria – manager of clove island help us to organize trip to Stone Town. It was gorgeous. At hotel you can also rent a bike or scooter, and go for some incredible cruise around Makunduchi. If you looking for a safe, quiet place with absolutely beautyful views, you should visit this paradise. Aditional plus for very good meals at restaurant, realy tasty and not so expensive.

Nice hotel with a well maintained garden in a beautiful spot. Very friendly staff and management. If you are looking for a cosy hotel far away from hords of tourists coming with touroperators its a place to go. Very decent food in the restaurant – some meals are delicious, most of them are good. Prices are rather reaosnable.

Disliked · The beach is nice but the tides are really big in this part of the island, so if you are looking for a place in Zanzibar just to sunbath and swim you should reconsider this part of the Island. The hotel offers a nice swimming pool. Observing the ocean during low tides may be really amazing so it is not necessarily a drawback – depends what do you expect.
The room service tends to come at crazy ours – either early in the morning or in the evening. Its time when most of the people are in their apartments which may be quite awkward both for guest and for the staff

The hotel was great. My room had a conditioner and TV, the bathroom was very nice and clean.

We normally don’t choose to stay only at one place, but like to travel around, so booking 7 nights was a challenge. Because of pandemic we decided to be located at less crowded beach in a small hotel, where there are only few tourists. Booking Clove Island Villas was the best choice we could make! I must admit, looking at the photos and reading the reviews, I had very high expectations – and they were not only met, but highly exceeded. Maria, Jiri and their team do absolutely their best to make your holidays perfect every moment. The pool is very well maintained, the food is very tasty and good variety even if you stay one week, the rooms are spacious, cleaned every day and prepared for a mosquito-free night every evening. But the best of all are the people working there – they create such positive energy, all of them are attentive and take amazing care of the guests. After a week we felt like they were our family and it was hard to say goodbye. Managers Maria and Jiri helped us make our plans to see the island and all employees were kind and helpful every moment. Especially Neema, who is the warmest and kindest person we ever met working in hospitality. So if you plan to stay only a night or two, or you’re lucky to stay more, you’ll have a great time!

Disliked · We LOVED everything. There was only one thing we missed – something to hang wet swimsuits and towels.

This place is incredible. It is quiet, super clean, the staff are polite and not overbearing, the pool is great and there is an epic vibe. I think a lot of it is down to the impeccable management.

We truly enjoyed EVERYTHING in this hotel. The staff is fantastic, the food is amazing and the location of peace and beautiful surroundings are incredible.
Jerry and meryem were really good hosts and always there to recommend and help.

The best manager Jiri, very friendly and helpful staff, excellent food, beautiful villa.
Everything was very professional. We was sad, that we stay here only for two nights.

The property managers Meryem and Jiří were very helpful as well as their staff. Especiaĺly Muddy and Hugo took care of all our needs.
The accomodation itself was brilliant. We havent seen anything comparable on the island.

t was exactly what we needed. The hotel is situated in a quiet and peaceful place, where no one bothered us and we could finally relax. We have left worries far away. As for the hotel, the design is amazing. Every detail has been taken care of here. We especially liked the seafood platter in the restaurant, but so was the rest of the delicacies on the menu. And service – Top level. Thank you!

Beautiful Boutique-Hotel set in a well looked after garden. The staff is exceptionally nice and the restaurant is excellent and has very fair prices. The beach is right in front of the hotel, the rooms are spacious and very clean.

Disliked · – Unfortunately we had the room just one floor above the kitchen. As soon as the kitchen staff started working, we couldn’t sleep anymore because of slamming doors and other noise from the kitchen/restaurant.
– The mosquito net is not attached properly: there are huge gaps between net and walls. The way it is installed now, it’s only decoration …
– WIFI was very slow and unstable
