We opened our door straight out onto the beach , staff super helpful great breakfast included

Disliked · The ocean is not for swimming at all in these areas, there are very strong tides

Disliked · There was no wardrobe in the room, so we didn’t have place to put our clothes. The toilet is part of the room which makes it uncomfortable if you are two or more people in the room.

Natural vibe for Zanzibar – laid back atmosphere and great to walk straight to the sea.

Disliked · Hot wather available only certain hours and water pressure in general quite tricky. Wifi… like island life in general… unpredictable and only available in dining area.

I stayed in a sea view bungalow and it was great. Just open the door and you are at beach) It is possible to admire a sunrise laying in the bed)

Disliked · There are two sea view bungalow attached to each other and I could hear everything in the second bungalow

The best thing about this place is the location and the staff. It’s directly on the beach and the setup is really nice with the bungalows, sand at your doorstep and palmtrees right in front of your door. The place is quite simple which is part of the beauty of getting away from the city life and at the same time it is spacious, comfortable and clean. And if we ever needed anything the staff were more than happy to accommodate our requests and even bought extra Dettol to do a “corona clean” of the floor with a mop and water. I have seen some reviews saying there is no hot water. We thought so too, but it turns out that there is a switch for the hot water heater that you need to turn on. Also the food in their restaurant is nice and tasty local food plus wraps and burgers. One of the things I liked the most about this place is that it is owned by the village community and they are running it. So it really feels like you are contributing to the local economy directly rather than to a big foreign owned hotel. I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend this place to someone looking for a simple bungalow to stay in that is right on the beach and with very friendly staff.

Big bungalow, plenty of space. 🙂 Nice restaurant, very good breakfasts! WiFi worked fine. And the best were sunbeds in front of the beautiful ocean view. Walkable distance to kite spots with wonderful low tides and algae plantations. Safe to visit local charming village. Also great restaurants nearby.

Disliked · Arranged taxi did not come. 🙁 Fortunately, there are plenty of taxi drivers on airport even at late hours, like in our case (10pm).

The location. Our bungalow was right on the beach. A few of the staff members were friendly. The food was quite tasty.

Disliked · No directional signage so the place was a bit difficult to find. Parking area had some large holes. No towels were provided. Lack of privacy from the room/bungalow next door. No hot water in the bathroom. Limited variety of food and drinks. The food and drinks had to be paid for in cash.

Location is great, right on the beach but on a quiet stretch. Fantastic

Disliked · The cabin I stayed in was nice but very basic and unfinished look.

Perfect simple living. You’re right on the beach – the location is ideal for appreciating the ocean, the moon, catching sunrise. The huts are spacious and well designed and lots of plug points. Mattresses are the best I’ve slept on! Staff are amazingly friendly and kind and local food cooked there was some of the best I had during my stay on that beach. At night there is security (even though it’s not really needed) so you feel so safe to sleep on the beach etc. Great for solo travellers and families or anyone.

Disliked · Internet doesn’t reach back row of bungalows, and they also have low water pressure – but they are working on that.

Stunning view. Great location. Good value for money. Very relaxing falling to sleep with sound of waves!

Disliked · Hot shower doesn’t work every day. Often cold water. Had a mouse running around. Lot of local children keep coming to the belcony, hanging on it and begging for candy.

· Property is right in front of the beach and they have a friendly staff. It was nice to be able to hear the sound of the beach all night while sleeping.

Disliked · You can pay only cash but thats the problem with entire Zanzibar

· Very nice bungalow located right on the Jambiani beach. The owner and other members of staff are very nice and helpful in organising any trip, getting a motorbike or a bike. Breakfasts and any other meals from hotel kitchen are very tasty.
