Aya Beach Bungalows

Everything was over expectations, starting with the location , quiet, maintained, cleanly ending with staff friendly and welcoming.

The staff was tremendous, really friendly and accommodating. Went out of their way to make us feel at home and made special plans (a beautiful cake) for my daughters birthday. The rooms were fabulous. Location was fantastic. Breakfast was delicious. Menu slightly overpriced but on par with everything in zanzibar. Really recommend this place and would definitely stay again. Thanks to all the incredible staff.

This place was a serene and enjoyable slice of paradise. I loved the attention to detail – from the decor to the garden landscaping. This place was built with love and had a great mix of comfort, cleanliness and aesthetics. The staff was wonderful and the owners were a true delight to meet. The internet at this location was one of the best I’ve experienced at a hotel in Zanzibar. The Kizimkazi beach is one of my favorites in Zanzibar and Aya Beach is on a sweet part of it. I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel was way more than expected, Nice bungalows, nice pool area. Has amazing chill out areas, hammocks, bean bags, all just above the beach, facing the sunset. Staff are very nice and helpful. Stayed there for 1 night, did not manage to enjoy it fully. would definitely go again and recommend it to anybody interested in this hotel

-we asked for ice cream only during lunch but the waiter (male) brought us the dessert from the menu which we didn’t ask and took it back and got charged for it
-I asked the same waiter that a mosquito felt into my drink (beer) and asked for another one but got also charged for it twice where he didn’t sense of hospitality towards his guests

cozy hotel by the ocean with a clean white beach. friendly hosts, staff. atmospheric restaurant on the edge, with stunning sunset views of the ocean. Delicious cuisine with a small menu (but once octopus was not to taste). clean, tidy bungalows. pool overlooking the ocean, there is a SUP.

Disliked · identify smoking areas in the hotel (but this probably applies to the rules of the whole country and the culture of the people)

Aya is the place where you want to stay! Aya is the family!
We loved this hotel and will recommend it to all, who is looking for lovely- peace & quiet stay. Staff is very friendly and ready to help you everytime you need it. Bungalows are very nice and clean. Location is amazing! The view to the sea is unforgettable. The beach was great for swimming when the tide was in and good for nice walks when the tide was out.
